Kentec protects BAT's new Zambian HQ
With extreme temperatures in Zambia’s hot season reaching 38º C in Lusaka, the risk of fire greatly increases which is why a fire prevention system of the highest reliability was chosen for BAT’s new HQ and warehousing facility based in the city.
To meet the demands of this application a Kentec 48-Zone 2-loop Syncro Analogue Addressable Fire Control Panel was installed in the building’s administration area with a 12-Zone multi-area conventional extinguishant release panel to activate remote solenoid valves feeding the water mist system installed in the warehouse. The system includes Hochiki sensing and detecting devices.
The system was installed by Amerex Fire Equipment (Z) Ltd of Zambia, who specified Kentec and Hochiki because of the high quality and reliability of the products and the seamless integration made possible by this well proven, open protocol system solution.’
