Kentec protects national art treasures

Founded in 1856, the National Portrait Gallery, London holds the most extensive collection of portraits in the world, from Holbein to Hockney and the collection includes work across all media, from painting and sculpture to photography and video.

Such an important national landmark warrants a fire prevention system of the highest reliability, which is why Kentec Syncro fire control panels were specified for this historic building's fire detection system upgrade.

The system, engineered and installed by fire protection systems specialists Stalleon Services Limited, includes a Kentec 8 Loop Syncro Control Panel and Syncro Response repeater panel, with over 700 Apollo Series 90 and XP95 devices supported by Apollo's open protocol fire data communications.

Kentec Fire Control Panels are widely specified in heritage sites because of their exceptional performance, reliability and ability to operate with a range of mixed Apollo devices without any problems, with the minimum of disruption and within tight budget restraints.
