Kentec and Hochiki Europe Guard Major Iranian Port Complex
With safety standards becoming evermore demanding, Kentec and Hochiki's reliable and cost effective ranges of products provide solutions for the widest possible range of projects all over the globe.
In Iran, Kentec's most recent installation is The Silo Project, a 5000m2 complex for the transit of cereals from ship to shore on the south coast of Iran.
The Silo has a capacity for 7000 tonnes of cereal and is therefore a potentially dangerous environment. This challenging project was designed and installed by the Spin Electric Company Ltd, based in Tehran. The fire detection system has several hundred of intrinsically safe smoke detectors interfaced to the analogue addressable system via zone monitors. The non-hazardous areas are protected by Hochiki's ESP sensors. This ensures that the whole system has the benefits of Hochiki's secure enhanced Systems Protocol (ESP). All detection devices were connected to a two panel network of Syncro analogue-addressable control panels from Kentec Electronics Ltd.
