Kentec Extinguishing Release Unit selected for
Pakistan Cell Phone Company
Telecommunication companies worldwide are specifying Kentec extinguishant control and releasing equipment to meet increasingly important insurance criteria and to ensure that computers and electronic data is rapidly protected with reliable, cost effective fire protection.
In Pakistan the Cell Phone company, Telenor, has selected Kentec products for all extinguishant release applications. The photograph shows their head office where a large extinguishant release panel is used to protect the server. The Fire suppression system is installed in 5 rooms on the seventh floor. The control Panel used is K12.06 which controls the FM200 Automatic Fire Suppression systems.
The areas where they have been installed are Cellphone Master Switch Centers (MSC), consisting of the Main Transmission Room, Equipment Room, Switch room, Power room, Control Room and OMC Room. All Base Transceiver Stations are controlled from here.
Kentec K2.01 units have also been installed in the Base Transceiver Stations which are spread all over the country.
The design and installation was undertaken by MAB, who are based in Karachi.
