Kentec and Hochiki Europe selected for Icelandic Schools System

More and more educational establishments worldwide are specifying Hochiki detection devices and Kentec control and indicating equipment to meet increasingly stringent and demanding safety standards with reliable, cost effective fire protection.

In Iceland the schools system has recently been decentralized. Local municipalities now manage the schools and are therefore responsible for all funding of these facilities.

Kentec and Hochiki Europe products meet the demands of the municipalities for quality and reliability and also satisfy operational criteria to ensure the lowest cost of maintenance. Kentec Control panels and Hochiki detectors are the technology of choice for Ark Security who projects include five new Icelandic schools. One example, the new school at Gardabae covers 8000 square metres. There are hundreds of Hochiki ALG-E analogue addressable photoelectric smoke sensors and callpoints all interfaced to an Icelandic Kentec Syncro control panel and Focus + repeater display. Sprinkers and dampers are monitored and controlled from the Syncro via Hochiki I/O interface modules.
