Nearly two decades ago Rosia Plaza's two luxury apartment blocks were constructed alongside the historic Rosia Bay, where HMS Victory, with Nelson's body on board, was brought immediately after Trafalgar. It was Gibraltar's most prestigious development and today it remains a very desirable place to live. That is largely thanks to the efforts of the resident-operated management company who put considerable effort into maintaining the highest possible standards.
So when it was time to replace their original fire alarm panels, Rosia residents wanted the very best and at a cost effective price too! After considered appraisals of the local suppliers the management team chose Fire Security (Gibraltar) Ltd who are known to be just as careful in their approach to meeting all the required criteria. FSG selected Kentec custom-made control panels to find a perfect fit in the marble lined hallways, which had been cut to fit the original obsolete panels. The result is that the flush panels look as if they have always been there. Because of Rosia Plaza's proximity to the sea, FSG chose Hochiki Europe's marine bases for the garage area heat detectors and replaced metal bells with non-corrodible siren/strobe assemblies.
Expressing their satisfaction at the professional results delivered, Rosia residents were surprised to find the job had come in bang on budget and only slightly beyond the expected timescale, given the necessary attention to detail and finish. "This was a model project" said FSG Managing Director Mike Reid "the high degree of co-operation we receive from Kentec makes these projects repeatable and so everybody wins".
Two Kentec custom flush-panels were designed and supplied which were fitted straight in the holes in the wall where the previous panels had been. An additional surface mount panel was fitted in the garage.
