Kentec bags new Bulgaria shopping mall fire safety installation
Kentec Syncro fire control panels are at the heart of a fire safety system installed at the new Markovo Tepe Shopping Mall in Plovdiv, Bulgaria’s second largest city.
The Mall, spread over 8 levels above and below ground, is dedicated to shopping, entertainment and sports. This major development includes many leading fashion stores, a large children’s centre, gym, supermarket, fast food area, an Arena cinema with an IMAX auditorium, and spaces for 600 cars. Its striking architectural design, abundant light and green features create the ideal location for relaxed shopping and entertainment, within the urban environment.
Such a large complex demands a life safety system that offers the highest standards of functionality and reliability. Leading Bulgarian fire and security systems integrators Sectron designed and installed a system around four 4 loop Syncro fire control panels managed by Syncro Guide monitoring software. The system is supported by Hochiki ESP protocol fire data communications with over 1200 Hochiki ESP detectors, installed in the mall’s common areas. Individual retail units are protected by Kentec Sigma CP conventional fire control panels and Hochiki CDX detectors, which are all connected to the main fire system.
Sectron’s product manager for fire protection and fire suppression systems Georgi Kolev says ‘We chose Kentec Syncro panels, for this and all our other projects, because they are very easy to install, program and offer a very high level of security. With its many thousands of visitors, this retail complex demands risk management systems of the highest integrity, which the Kentec panels deliver.”
