Syncro
firmware version 4.3 has the following amendments-
Series
90 call point response time
When the S90 call point is operated, an interrupt
bit is set. This version of Syncro firmware
will poll just the addresses that are known
to be S90 call points to determine the source
of the interrupt. As most detection loops have
only a few call points installed, this will
result in a faster processing of the alarm event.
Earlier versions of the panel firmware polled
all addresses on the loop to determine the source
of the interrupt.
Printer
buffer overflow
When there are many events occurring on the
panel at the same time (such as many disconnected
faults when a loop is removed from the panel),
the panel printer occasionally fails to print
all events.
This is due to the capacity of the printer event
buffer and the printer speed. If the events
are sent to the printer buffer faster than the
printer can print them, then eventually the
printer buffer "fills up" and some
information is lost.
Version 4.3 firmware will monitor the printer
buffer and will print out "Printer Buffer
Full" whenever any messages lost as a result
of this scenario.
Any lost messages and can re-printed from the
event log at a later date.
Apollo
protocol panel initialisation failure
A number of customers experienced a problem
when panels were configured "off site"
using Loop Explorer, then installed on site.
If there was a mismatch between the site configuration
file and the actual devices fitted, then the
panel would fail to complete the initialisation
sequence.
If the panel was auto configured on site, then
the configuration file loaded into the panel,
then the problem would not occur.
This
problem was introduced when the Ancillary base
sounder was implemented in panel firmware version
4.0. It has been resolved in panel firmware
version 4.3.
Apollo
Discovery Detectors - device LED "Flash
when polled" options
The Apollo Discovery detection devices have
the ability to select whether the detector status
LEDs flash when the device is polled or remain
off until the device is activated.
This option can be selected by address in the
Loop Explorer configuration program. There was
a problem with the selection of this feature
that is now resolved in this version.
Cause
and Effect Limit
A problem was found in the processing of cause
and effects for site configuration files with
more than 256 different cause and effect entries.
When any cause and effects above the 256th entry
were activated, they would not clear when the
"cause" is removed. The control panel
had to be re-initialised to clear the cause
and effect.
This problem has been resolved in this version.
Event
log entry duplication
If the event log contained more than 256 entries,
then the subsequent entries were duplicated
when added to the event log and then exported
into Loop Explorer event log viewer.
This is fixed in this version.
