For those of you that could not attend IFSEC this year, Kentec made a major announcement at the show.

Kentec has recently founded a US subsidiary:
VES LLC, based in King of Prussia, near Philadelphia. This has been brought about by the purchase of most of the assets of Viking Electronic Services. Viking Electronic Services was a wholly owned subsidiary of Viking Corporation, a major worldwide force in Sprinkler technology.

Kentec has been the control panel partner of choice for Viking Electronic Services for several years and this acquisition enables Kentec and it’s customer to benefit from the market leading IP technology developed by them. In addition to the enhanced technology the merger of the VES and Kentec development resources further strengthens Kentec’s development capability and provides considerable international opportunities for expansion of Kentec’s sales.

UK customers will benefit in due course from both the additional, in-house development resources and from the incorporation of the core technology developed by Viking Electronic Services. There will be no changes in our UK or European strategy or focus, or any adverse impact on our UK activities or developments, indeed we expect them to be strengthened as a direct result, as above.
