Introducing a new member to the Technical Support and Training Team

Kentec are pleased to announce the appointment of Royce Mattin who will be joining the company as a Technical Support and Training Engineer working alongside the technical and training departments.

Royce joined Kentec at the beginning of March and will be responsible for providing extra support to the already established product training team, giving in-house training based at Kentec and field training on customer sites. Royce joins us with a vast amount of experience with a Fire Alarm company where he led projects to install many of our panels which makes him the ideal fit for passing on his knowledge to our customers in training sessions. Royce has recently taken up golf as a hobby and expresses his interest in doing a bit of DIY around the house as well as spending time with his family.

Please join us in congratulating Royce in his new role and wish him all the best for the future here!

Kentec Arrives at Bergen Airport

A new life safety system based around Kentec’s Syncro XT+ addressable extinguishing control panel technology is being installed in the new 4 billion Kroner (Euro 407m) terminal at Norway’s Bergen Flesland International Airport.

Bergen Flesland’s new terminal will treble the airport’s capacity and will include a new dedicated train line connecting Flesland to Bergen city centre. The terminal building itself will be scalable, featuring all core functions, including check-in, baggage, storage systems, and security control, and departure and arrival halls on two separate levels.

Norwegian company Brannslokkesystemer AS was commissioned to design and install a Novec 1230 extinguishing system, controlled by a Kentec Syncro XT+ network comprising of 11 multi-area addressable extinguishant control panels with loop powered status indicator units and using Apollo communications protocol. Brannslokkesystemer AS imports, designs and assembles automatic gas extinguishing systems for the marine and land-based market throughout Norway.

Kentec’s Syncro XT+ control panels are the leading multi-area addressable extinguishant control panel solution, fully approved to EN12094-1, EN54-2 and EN54-4. Syncro XT+ provides addressable detection over 1 or 2 loops with 16 Zone LED Indicators and is available with up to four extinguishant release control units built in.

Kentecís first ADI Show at Twickenham

The beginning of this month saw Kentec exhibit at the first ADI Global show of 2017 at the home of Rugby, Twickenham. The ADI show has an informal layout with companies from the Fire and Security Industry displaying their products that ADI distribute. It was a great opportunity for Kentec to network with many companies within our industry as well as a chance to be introduced with account managers from ADI and customers who buy our products from ADI.

Our Head of Sales for the UK Wayne Marston, our Business Development Manager for the South East Jason Pye and our Events and Marketing Coordinator Charlotte Eames were present at the show to meet everyone who came along and visited us on the day. We had a small display of our most popular conventional and addressable panels on show such as the Sigma CP and the Syncro AS. We also had our Warning Sign on display to demonstrate our line of miscellaneous products.

It was great to see everyone who turned up on the day and we look forward to seeing you all at the next ADI Global show in Birmingham in June!
