Edition 101 November 2015

Warning Sign Range Extended!

Our wide range of illuminated warning signs employ the very latest in LED technology to provide a high brightness, visual warning indication unit. We offer a range of standard text as well as customised text and languages to meet your needs. The sign can also be split level allowing one message on top and one message on the bottom; this is useful for two stage warnings such as extinguishing protection systems.  LEDs can be switch constant or flashing.

An extension of this range now also includes a weatherproof version. This IP66 rated Warning Sign consists of a Polycarbonate enclosure with metal chassis and is as customisable as the standard version.

Did you catch us at the Races?

This month, FIM took place at Rowley Mile Racecourse in Newmarket on Wednesday 14th October 2015. Unlike many of the larger exhibitions that Kentec attends, FIM has a more informal feel as manufacturers from the Fire Industry gather in one place to showcase their latest products.

Our Business Development Manager for Northern England and Ireland, Wayne Marston and our South Eastern BDM Jason Pye attended the show and were pleased to see many familiar faces on the day. It was a chance to also introduce ourselves to many new faces and show them what Kentec can offer in the way of fire detection and prevention.

Kentec would like to thank all those that attended, FIM is always a great event to attend and demonstrate our products to the fire industry. The next FIM expo will be held next spring in Newcastle so we will hopefully see you there!

Kentec chosen for prestigious central London development

Kentec fire alarm control panels have been chosen by specialists GBE Fire & Security for a fire safety system that will protect a prestigious 102,000 sq ft new-build office and retail development in the heart of London’s Chancery Lane, close to Holborn’s Inns of Court and Royal Courts of Justice.

The new building, now housing the Publicis Group, one of the world’s leading communications groups, is a mix of new office and retail space with a landscaped courtyard leading from Chancery Lane. Care has been taken to create a premium development that respects listed buildings in the vicinity. The Cat A design sets very challenging targets for sustainability and will achieve significant carbon reductions compared to a more typical speculative office development.

The intelligent fire safety system, designed and installed by specialists GBE Fire & Security features Kentec’s market leading Syncro networked analogue addressable fire control panels with XP95 fire detection and audio visual warning devices, supported by Apollo high integrity open protocol.

Kentec’s flagship ‘open protocol’ Syncro series is recognized as one of the most powerful systems of its type on the market today, guaranteeing the very highest standards of performance, safety and reliability that such a unique and vibrant venue demands.
