Firex is next month!


Kentec is exhibiting at Firex International next month which is being held at the Excel in London from 16th - 18th June 2015. We are on stand E120 showcasing the most exciting products within our range and hoping to meet many of our existing customers and any new ones who want to come along, say hello and be introduced to the UK’s leading manufacturer in Fire Control Panels.

Our market-leading Syncro, Sigma and Elite ranges of EN and UL listed products - designed for the widest, most demanding range of applications - will be on show together with a range of site-specific special application fire control panels - custom engineered to deliver turnkey fire system solutions.

Plus there will be live product demonstrations of the all-new Taktis product range of fire alarm control equipment and the new Syncro XT+ addressable extinguishing panel.

Firex International is a leading event for every professional within the fire protection, prevention and detection industry. It offers companies a comprehensive platform to showcase their newest and most popular products/ services as well offering the best networking within the industry. With over 14,000+ visitors and 140 companies it really offers a contrasting range of the latest in fire protection.




Meet the Marketing and Product Development team

The Marketing team consists of Emma Bonds who is the Head of Marketing and Charlotte Eames who is the Events and Marketing Coordinator.

Emma Bonds
Emma Bonds joined Kentec in 2009 as a Marketing and Design Assistant and has worked her way up to Head of Marketing. Emma is responsible for all aspects of Marketing including literature and website design as well as overseeing the exhibitions.  Emma also organises all of the office social events such as Secret Santa and companywide events such as fundraising days. In her spare time Emma is a keen baker and often bakes birthday cakes and celebration cakes, as such she is planning on using her skills by baking her own wedding cake!

Charlotte Eames
Charlotte Eames joined Kentec in the middle of February as the new Events and Marketing Coordinator. Her main role is to organise all of the company events such as exhibitions like International Firex and to assist from time to time with the marketing. Charlotte has a background in marketing through previous roles and she also has a degree in Business and Marketing which she completed in 2013.

The Product Development Team is headed up by Steve Eckles with James Rowe and Ellison Ssimbwa working alongside him.

Steve Eckles
Steve Eckles joined Kentec in 1994 as a Junior Design Engineer. He started in the Drawing Office creating artworks and mechanical drawings. Steve’s job changed direction shortly after that once the department started to grow as Steve set up the Marketing Department. From there Steve was responsible for Marketing as well as some product design. Once the company started growing and Steve had more staff to assist with Marketing and Product Design his job evolved into what it is now which is the Product Engineering Manager. Now Steve is responsible for the Product Development Team which includes James and Ellison although he still plays a part in Marketing by giving his expert advice.

James Rowe
James Rowe joined Kentec in 2014 to assist in the Product Development Team. He has a degree in Engineering Product Design which assists in his role as Mechanical Design Engineer. James’ main role is product design and engineering. James works a lot on bespoke items such as demo cases as well as assisting Steve with any other jobs that need doing. James is a keen sports lover and enjoys car racing and football.


Ellison Ssimbwa
Ellison Ssimbwa joined Kentec in 2010 as an assembly worker in the factory. He worked his way up to Team Leader for our non-core product range. Ellison now works in the Product Management team and is responsible for administering the product release procedure for OEM customers.  This involves liaising with customers to determine their requirements, creating customer specific part numbers, keeping everyone informed and pulling everything together on our system to make sure the product is manufactured correctly and efficiently. In his spare time Ellison is a car enthusiast.




Kentec on show at top UK attractions, Haynes Motor Museum and Battle of Britain Memorial

Kentec have been showcasing their “Top Gear” at the prestigious Haynes International Motor Museum. Haynes is the UK’s largest Motor Museum and home to a comprehensive collection of the world’s greatest cars. Following a recent £5m pound refurbishment, Haynes in Sparkford Somerset, are now able to showcase a collection of over 400 classic cars such as Austin & MG in the knowledge that their vivid collection is protected by a fire safety system which includes a Kentec Syncro Panel. This is the highest level of protection for staff, visitors and vehicles alike.

As well as showcasing our flagship Syncro Series at the Haynes Motor Museum, Kentec are vigilant at the National Memorial to the few which has added an iconic new visitor and education facility enabling visitors to learn more about the Battle of Britain. Situated at Capel- Le- Ferne on the famous White Cliffs of Dover between Dover and Folkestone in Kent, the new centre will provide a high-tech learning environment which will give people a taste of what it was like to be part of Churchill’s “few” in 1940. The Syncro AS Analogue addressable fire control panel will provide a complete building system solution with flexible cause and effect capabilities.
