We never stand still!

At Kentec we never stand still! We are always looking to improve our processes, procedures and have for the last 30 years continuously invested in our manufacturing facility.

In July last year we invested significantly in upgrading our ERP system. As a result of this investment we have been able to start enhancing our manufacturing workflow IT systems. Initially our customers will only see some small changes to the way we label product (both internally and on the outer package) and they will notice some additional barcoding on some component parts.

At this stage these changes only affect our Sigma CP, Sigma XT and Syncro AS product line but we will be rolling out the changes across the whole product range over the next few months.

Although what our customer will see in the short term is generally cosmetic, behind the scenes we have started to implement a very ambitious and comprehensive intuitive manufacturing IT system.

Over time this will benefit our customers in many ways including:

  • Shorter and more accurate lead times
  • Improved quality
  • Improvements in information updates when enquiring about orders

All of these changes have been made within our production facility to improve standardisation and increase efficiency which ultimately means we can give our customers the best service from start to finish.

New Approval for our 10.25Amp Power Supply

Kentec has released a new range of UL Approved, 10.25Amp, universal mains input, fire alarm power supply and battery charger units.

Fully Approved by UL, the K1840 range is the most powerful UL approved power supply range available.

A range of enclosure sizes is available some of which are capable of housing up to 40Ah batteries.
An intelligent, two stage, temperature compensated battery charger keeps batteries in optimum condition and maximises their performance and service life.

On board LED indications provide clear status indication and a ribbon cable connector allows extension of fault conditions to other systems if required.

Contact our sales team for more information or download a copy of the 10.25Amp Power Supply datasheet.

FIM Expo

As you may already know, the FIM expo is taking place on Wednesday 15th April 2015 at the Millennium Centre, Cardiff Bay. If you are planning to come along, why not come and visit Kentec.

FIM is not one your traditional exhibitions, as the informal format means many of the UK’s leading fire detection and alarm manufacturers can showcase their products in one place. This enables them just to focus on their industry by showcasing the latest designs, developments and top products.
