They just keep on coming - NKK Approval!

The marine variant of the popular Syncro AS (Syncro ASM) single or two loop, networkable analogue addressable fire control panel has now received type approval from Nippon Kaiji Kyokai (NKK).

Nippon Kaiji Kyokai is a key member of the International Association of Classification Societies (IACS).

This type approval for the Syncro ASM fire panel is in addition to type approvals already awarded by Det Norske Veritas, Germanischer Lloyd, Lloyds Register, Korean register, China Classification society and American Bureau of Shipping.

Syncro ASM fire control panels are compatible with Hochiki and Apollo protocols and provide a feature rich and compact, networkable fire alarm control panel solution for small to medium sized vessels.

They don't make 'em like that anymore!

After almost 25 years service with Kentec Ian Denniss decided to retire at the end of last year. During his time at Kentec Ian worked mainly in Engineering and was Engineering Manager for over 20 years. Ian also had responsibility for some areas of production, special application engineering, purchasing and estimating over the years.

Those of you who knew Ian will no doubt remember his sometimes unique but always interesting personality!

Ian’s knowledge and expertise which was gained from almost 35 years in the fire Detection Industry will be missed by customers and his colleagues at Kentec but we wish him a very long and healthy retirement.

Christmas Jumper day

On December 14th Kentec took part in National Christmas Jumper Day in aid of the Save The Children charity. Staff wore jumpers, Christmas accessories and also baked cakes to raise £150 on the day.
