Edition 72 September 2012

Business as usual

Following the announcement of the purchase of Kentec by Hochiki Corporation, Japan, we would like to reconfirm that it is very much “business as usual” for Kentec and that there have been no changes in our Policy, staff or our activities.

We fully support and will continue to support all three existing fire detector protocols and also our OEM customers. Should you have any concerns, we are happy to hear from you in person, by telephone or by e-mail.

Expanding the Team

We are pleased to advise that Rashid Dawodu, who was with us in a development role several years ago has rejoined us as a Project Supervisor.

Rashid has successfully held a succession of positions elsewhere in the Fire industry and brings a lot of relevant experience to our expanding Development Team. We wish him well.

Promotion to Accounts

We would like to welcome Alanna Higgins to Kentec. Alanna has joined us as the new Credit Controller for the accounts department. Many of you may recognise Alanna as being the receptionist but a recent vacancy in Accounts has allowed Alanna to change roles into a position she has already trained for.

Alanna already has various accounting business and finance training and is returning to college to study further accountancy courses to further her knowledge for this role.

Kentec visits Germany

In two weeks time, Kentec will be in Germany for Security Essen, September 25-28th at MESSE ESSEN, Germany. Not long left until FIM-Expo

Kentec will also be exhibiting at the all new Fire Industry Manufacturers event at Doncaster Racecourse in October. The exhibitor list is now full and is in fact over subscribed. A list of those companies attending can be found here. With just under a month to go, we are preparing our World Class Exhibition stand so that we can showcase our comprehensive range of Control Panels.

Come and speak with us on Stand 4 at FIM-Expo and don’t miss out on a fantastic opportunity to ask questions and see the latest product offering, in a relaxed environment.

Revised procedures non-EU repairs and customer returns

The Kentec Returns and Repairs policy has been updated to clarify the procedures for returning product to Kentec Electronics Ltd from outside the EU.

For customers outside the EU, the appropriate department must be contacted and approval to return the product must be given before any items are returned to Kentec.

For customers within the EU that are returning warranty replacement (SRI) items, items for repair or items for credit the process remains fundamentally unchanged.

The revised returns and repair policy may be downloaded from the Kentec web site
