New AlarmSense fire alarm panels deliver
large time and cost savings

The new AlarmSense compatible Sigma CP-A 2, 4 and 8 zone fire alarm control and indicating panels are designed to deliver significant time and cost savings, compared with standard four-wire conventional systems, through greatly reduced cabling and installation requirements.

The AlarmSense range allows Apollo Alarmsense devices, including smoke and heat detectors, call points, base sounders, base sounder/beacons and relay units, to be wired to the same pair of cables, with rapid system configuration for common, zonal or two-stage alarm by simply setting one of the panels configuration options.

False alarm management is also very efficient, with alarm verification via the general and local alarm facility on AlarmSense sounders and beacons, which is particularly useful in Houses of Multiple Occupation (HMO) such as student accommodation or nursing homes.

All control panels have an integral, mains powered battery charger and power supply compliant with the requirements of BS EN54-4.

Special Applications Department Expanded

For many years Kentec has majored on providing special application and bespoke control systems. As part of our ongoing commitment to this sector of the market we have recently expanded our team. Joining Ian Dennis, Steve Richards and Paul Missen are our new team members Del Taylor and Lily King.
Del has over 25 years experience in the fire alarm industry (over 15 with Kentec) he will focus on mechanical design and sheet metal manufacturing and will provide a stronger link between the two areas.
Lily will be working on planning, scheduling and the administration side of our Special Apps department. Lily joined Kentec last year and has proven to be a valuable addition to the team and clearly “keeps the Lads in check”!

Expansion of the Marine Repeater range

Following customer feedback regarding the limited space usually available in Marine and Offshore control rooms, particularly vessels, a new variant of our popular Marine “View” Repeater has been designed and made available.

This Repeater permits the same full functionality of the ASM that it is connected to but is repackaged in a smaller, flush enclosure to enable it to fit conveniently in a vessel bridge or wheelhouse. The Syncro ASM can be installed in a convenient location nearby, thus saving space when this is at a premium.

Kentec is able to supply Analogue-addressable Marine Fire detection systems on request. Contact your BDM for more information.
