We're there for you again!

In recent years it has become the norm for manufacturers to close down over the Christmas and New Year period. However last Christmas we took the decision to open during the holiday period with a skeleton staff.

In order to support our customers we have once again decided to open over the Christmas period with a skeleton staff. We will be able to assist with technical support, process orders and we shall also be able to provide a limited amount of products during this period.

Our last full day before Christmas is on the 23rd December with all staff returning on the 4th January, however we shall be open with a skeleton staff on the following days:

Monday 27th December        -           Closed for the Bank Holiday
Tuesday 28th December       -           Closed for the Bank Holiday
Wednesday 29th December -           Open from 9 am to 5 pm
Thursday 30th December      -           Open from 9 am to 5 pm
Friday 31st December           -           Open from 9 am to 3 pm
Monday 3rd January              -           Closed for the Bank Holiday
Tuesday 4th January             -           Back to normal opening hours

We will not be providing Saturday Morning technical support over the holiday period but this service will recommence on Saturday 8th January 2011.

In the build up to what is probably going to be our most exciting and ambitious 12 months in the history of Kentec, we want to keep you and your colleagues up to date and informed on what we are going to be doing, paricularly from a new product point of view.

To help us keep in contact with you, we are reviewing our customer database. It is important for us that we have your details and those of all of your colleagues up to date. Off to Dubai

For the third year in succession, Kentec and VES will be exhibiting at Intersec 2011 in Dubai.

Following our successful participations at Intersec 2009 and 2010 (which led to the appointment of several VES Distributors in the region) the VES, UL listed/ FM approved Fire Alarm Solution and UL-listed Voice Alert (Voice Evacuation and Fireman’s telephone system) will be exhibited again.

As well as the UL-listed Elite and Elite RS fire control panels, eVIEW annunciators, GUIDE computer graphics system and eMATRIX graphical annunciators, we shall be displaying several new Kentec products.
We are continuing to seek distributors outside of the UAE for VES products as well as customers for both VES and Kentec products.

Karma Enduro

In November 2010 Jamie Dawson (Managing Director of Allied Protection) and his brother took part in the Karma Enduro challenge. The challenge is to drive 2000kms in a 1950's style car through southern India to raise money for the Rainbow Trust Childrens Charity (UK) and the Adventure Ashram (India). This is the letter we received from Jamie.

"We are back in one piece from our successful endurance charity rally through Southern India. Together with the other drivers and your sponsorship we managed to raise over £250,000!!!

Our two week journey took us from our starting point in the state of Goa through the states of Karnatika to Tamil Nadu until we reached our final state of Kerala. The driving itself was nothing like you would experience over here in the UK, with Cars, Trucks, buses, motorbike, bicycles, Cows and pedestrians coming at you from all angles! Along this route we experienced varying religions, landscapes, animals (lots of insects!) and most importantly the People. Both my brother and I were taken aback with their genuine happiness and enthusiasm, which was all very humbling given the poverty in which they live.

I wanted to say a personal thank you to Kentec for your donation as the Rainbow Trust is very dear to my heart and having managed to raise an amount of this size is truly overwhelming."

We congratulate Jamie and his brother on raising this amount of money.
