After 1000 years finally we move on!

Like most other manufacturers in the Fire Detection industry, Kentec has used a SilkScreen printing process to produce the text and images found on our products.
Silkscreen printing dates back to the Chinese Song Dynasty (960 A.D.-1279 A.D.) and to the Japanese in the 15th and 16th centuries where stencils were commonly used on cotton and silk for clothing and decorative purposes.

Today we have moved on!

We have now moved this process into the digital age following the installation of a large format UV digital printer. The introduction of an Oce Arizona printing machine will revolutionise the way we make our products in the future. Not only will we use the new Arizona to help maintain and improve quality, we will also be able to offer much more colour and detail now that the constraints of the Silk Screening process have been removed.

As many of our customers will know, we have offered product branding for almost 25 years. While this has been highly successful, there have been limitations in what we can offer due to the printing process. With the Arizona we will be able to offer our customers full colour printing for their logo’s in future. So if you would like additional colours, graduations or shading to be included in your branding please let us know, we are offering a free upgrade service to customers who currently have their products branded.

Email and let us know if you would like to take advantage of this offer to upgrade your logo. Just simply attach a high resolution version of your logo to the email.

Look out for further changes to our products over the coming months as we take advantage of what the Arizona has to offer!

Kentec gears up for Firex North

Firex North in Manchester is only a few weeks away. Why not visit our stand where our comprehensive range of Conventional, Analogue-addressable and Extinguishant releasing products will be on display, together with our Syncro Matrix and GUIDE. We will also be showing some new products during the exhibition.

As an added incentive to visit us during the show, this year, there will be a competition, so please ensure you leave your business card with us. This takes the form of a draw on the last day and the winner will win “an experience”, together with a tour of our upgraded facilities followed by lunch.

Their employer will also receive a benefit, too – more details on the stand;
One entry per person, existing Kentec customers only - full terms and conditions for the competition are available at Firex North.

We look forward to seeing you at Manchester Central, stand C12 on October 27th and 28th.

Remote Lamp gets a makeover

The latest item in our expanding range of high quality fire alarm system accessories is the K24000 remote indicator. Primarily intended to show the location of concealed detectors, the K24000 differs from most units of this type in that it has two high brightness LED indicators which flash alternately to provide a much more eye catching indication.

The surface mount LED indicators are integrated into a robust circuit board assembly which also houses the connection terminals providing a compact unit that is simple to install.

The unit is available in both round and square forms and both have fixings suitable for mounting to a standard, single gang box. An optional ceiling mounting clip (M24000) is also available for mounting K24000 remote indicators to ceiling tiles without the use of screws.
