We Just Got BIGGER (a whole lot bigger)

To meet the growing demand from our customers and as part of our overall expansion plans we are very pleased to announce that we recently completed the first phase of our latest relocation plans. On 10th December we took possession of a new facility in Dartford. The new building has provided us with the scope to expand many departments within Kentec. Firstly we have successfully relocated our entire sheet metal manufacturing department into the new facility. In doing so we have increased the area by three fold and as a result we have already seen significant improvements in productivity and output.

Our Powder Coating plant has also been given a new lease of life and is now located in our new building along with our silk screening department which has been doubled in size. This is not the end of the story as we are planning further changes and to relocate more departments into the new facility over the coming year.

We were delighted to hold an official opening ceremony in the new building which was attended by several industry partners along with key associates who have supported Kentec over many years. The building was officially opened by Dr Howard Stoate MP for Dartford assisted by Councilor Ian Armitt the Mayor of Dartford.
Managing Director Ray King said “it is really pleasing to see this new facility up and running in such a short period of time. An enormous amount of effort has gone into getting this new facility prepared ready for production and it is particularly remarkable that we did it in just 10 weeks! The new facility will help meet our customers growing demand for Kentec products”

New Powder Coating Plant Success

Not only did we find a new home for our aging Powder Coating plant we completely replaced it! As part of our relocation plans we have installed a new semi automatic power coating plant. The new facility not only increases our capacity by some 5 fold it produces a better and more consistent finish.

Additional Marine Classifications for Syncro ASM

The marine variant of the popular Syncro AS (Syncro ASM) single or two loop, networkable analogue addressable fire control panel has now received type approval from China Classification Society (CSS) and American Bureau of Shipping (ABS).

China Classification Society and the American Bureau of Shipping are both members of the International Association of Classification Societies (IACS).

These type approvals for the Syncro ASM fire panel are in addition to type approvals already awarded by Det Norske Veritas, Germanischer Lloyd, Lloyds Register and Korean register.

Syncro ASM fire control panels are compatible with Apollo and Hochiki protocols and provide a feature rich and compact fire alarm control panel solution for small to medium sized vessels.

Kentec attend ISC show in Las Vegas

Kentec will be supporting our sister company VES LLC at the upcoming ISC West 2009 show which is being held at the Sands Expo and Convention Center, Las Vegas.
Ray King and Robin Edmunds will be attending the show and will be available to talk to on the VES booth (1051).

VES will be showing their recently expanded and innovative VES UL listed/ FM approved Fire Alarm Solution.
