Continued Investment in Quality!

Our commitment to invest in high tech machinery to improve and maintain quality in our manufacturing processes continues with the installation of two, state of the art, Automatic Optical Inspection Systems at our Dartford, printed circuit board manufacturing plant.

All circuit boards are processed at two stages of manufacture by the new systems which inspect each board for correctly placed components and soldering quality to a depth and consistency which is not possible by inspection with the human eye. This enables us to identify errors or inconsistencies early in the manufacturing processes and enables us to maintain quality, improve yield and reduce re-work.

The new AOI systems compliment our established Automatic Test systems in providing real time data to allow the quality of the manufacturing process to be monitored and reported on at all times.

The improved yield, quality and consistency provided by these systems delivers the extra manufacturing capacity needed for our ongoing expansion and enhances our confidence in offering our industry leading 3 year warranty scheme.

Farewell to K2.01

The popular K2.01 extinguishant release control panel was effectively superceded by the EN12094-1 approved Sigma XT earlier this year and such has been the acceptance that from the end of December 2006, the K2.01 will become available on special order only and in limited quantities. The K4.01 and larger variants are unaffected.

We will continue to support the K2.01 as regards repairs and spare parts for as long as possible, but encourage customers to standardise on the Sigma XT.

Christmas Shutdown

Christmas is approaching rapidly and we would like to advise our customers that we will be shutting down over the holiday period, for a well earned rest. We will be closing on the 21st of December 2006, but will be back in on the 3rd of January 2007, and raring to go.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our customers for their business over the past year, and wish everyone a Happy Christmas and New Year.
