Sigma CP available now!

This month marked the official launch of the Sigma CP conventional Fire Control Panel range. Sigma CP is the first panel to feature the new cabinet style that we have pioneered over the past year and will be followed in the coming months by other new and restyled products.

Sigma CP now replaces the complete Sigma 2 range of conventional panels. Customers ordering Sigma 2 will be supplied with the new Sigma CP.

As a reminder, listed below are just some of the enhancements that have been realised on the Sigma CP control panel, most are linked to customer comments.

. Quick fit lid & equipment chassis for ease of install

WEEE & RoHS are coming
Waste Electrical & Electronics Equipment Regulations. Restriction on use of Hazardous Substances Regulations

New regulations for recycling waste electrical and electronic equipment are coming. The purpose is to make the recycling of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) compulsory. As the amount of WEEE grows with the built in obsolescence of modern electrical and electronic equipment (EEE), it is essential from an environmental point of view that recycling takes place. WEEE and RoHS will work in conjunction; RoHS will ensure that hazardous substances are not present in EEE to make the recycling operation safer.

A year with Amada!

Almost a year ago we invested over £250,000 on our new Amada Europe 255 automatic sheet metal punching machine. Our goal was to take full advantage of modern punching techniques. This would enable us to increase capacity to meet growing demand, improve quality, reduce waste, reduce manufacture time, and ultimately reduce costs. A year on and we are delighted with the results, closely supported by the Amada team we have exceeded all of our original goals. The enhanced features available on the Amada have given us scope for better designs and has been an integral part of the development of our new product ranges. Waste has been reduced thanks to the "nesting" options on the Amada CAD software, quality is greatly improved offering more consistency with less manual finishing required. The net result of all these improvements is better product, faster turnaround and reduced costs which has allowed us to remain at the top of an ever more competitive market.

To further improve the performance of our sheet metal facility we have also subsequently invested in a Togu EU tool sharpening machine which allows us to keep the Europe 255 in optimum working condition, maintaining quality and speed.
